Holborn Painters & Decorators
Out-of-hours commercial painting
Keeping a practice operational starts with a clear division between the space in use and the space being decorated. We discuss evening, weekend and phased programmes around that boundary, with the working conditions agreed before dates are confirmed.

Work backwards from the next working day
List the spaces that must reopen first, then identify the preparation and access needed to reach that point. A reception ceiling, a boardroom and an open office floor should not share an assumed handover time. Consider furniture movement, product drying requirements, ventilation, cleaning and inspection alongside the actual painting.
Quiet application and noisy preparation
An office being closed does not make every activity acceptable overnight. Camden and the City publish different arrangements for noisy building work, and the City may restrict disruptive activity during business quiet hours. Separate sanding, repairs and equipment handling from coating work when discussing an evening or weekend brief. Any required consent must be resolved beforehand.

Refurbishment repaints in larger offices
Where decoration follows a fit-out, show which partitions, doors and ceilings are new and which finishes remain. Agree a point at which other trades release the area. Include exposed edges, bulkheads and changes around relocated fittings in the schedule. A final repaint should follow resolved building work, with responsibility clear for subsequent damage or alterations.
Access after reception closes
Name the keyholder, alarm procedure and building contact who will be available during the proposed session. Identify the permitted entrance, goods lift and storage area. If the agreed window changes, review the programme before work is moved into a different shift. A written handover between sessions helps the practice keep track of rooms, remaining work and restricted surfaces.
A Holborn decorating brief
Bring the rooms
into the conversation.
Tell us how the property is used, which surfaces need attention and who will approve the work. For an office, include the hours when rooms are available; for a home, let us know what will remain in place.
Describe the proposed work
Include the Holborn address, the rooms or frontage involved, and any restrictions set by the building manager.
